Modernist Home in Barcelona

Rehabilitation of housing located in a modernist building of Barcelona´s Sant Andreu neighbourhood

Design, works management and execution for Francesc and Montse’s flat, located on the first floor of a 1927 rowhouse villa.

The owners wanted to keep many of the flat’s original elements such as the ornamental cornices, the wooden doors and windows and the large headroom. The lack of natural light was the most important disadvantage!

Simply by demolishing an internal wall situated between the kitchen and the dining room and weaving these spaces together into a grand room we managed the light to invade a large portion of the home.

The interior design project converted this villa into a modern, functional and adaptable space while keeping its singular modernist touch.
